Brandon Mull returns to the Fablehaven world!!!

In the long-awaited sequel to Fablehaven, the dragons who have been kept at the dragon sanctuaries no longer consider them safe havens, but prisons and they want their freedom. The dragons are no longer our allies....

In the hidden dragon sanctuary of Wyrmroost, Celebrant the Just, King of the Dragons, plots his revenge. He has long seen the sanctuaries as prisons, and he wants nothing more than to overthrow his captors and return the world to the Age of Dragons, when he and his kind ruled and reigned without borders. The time has come to break free and reclaim his power.

No one person is capable of stopping Celebrant and his dragon horde. It will take the ancient order of Dragonwatch to gather again if there is any chance of saving the world from destruction. In ancient times, Dragonwatch was a group of wizards, enchantresses, dragon slayers, and others who originally confined the majority of dragons into sanctuaries. But nearly all of the original Dragonwatch members are gone, and so the wizard Agad reaches out to Grandpa Sorenson for help.

As Kendra and Seth confront this new danger, they must draw upon all their skills, talents, and knowledge as only they have the ability to function together as a powerful dragon tamer. Together they must battle against forces with superior supernatural powers and breathtaking magical abilities.

How will the epic dragon showdown end? Will dragons overthrow humans and change the world as we know it.

I am so excited about the return to Fablehaven!! I really enjoyed these books when I read them. This sequel was just as good as the original series!

Life has settled into a rhythm for Kendra and Seth, until they realize that the dragons are wanting their freedom and may have found a way to get it. The world as they knew it would be gone if the dragons were released, so as young as they are, together they head to Wyrmroost to save the world. Their journey is, of course, perilous and even they are not sure if they are up to it. Even Seth's tricks could cause more harm that good.

I won't gush, because I am not good about that. I loved the book and am so excited to see the characters again. Go forth and read!

Say hello again to Kylie Scott's Dive Bar series!

When his younger brother loses interest in online dating, hot bearded bartender Joe Collins only intends to log into his account and shut it down. Until he reads about her.
Alex Parks is funny, fascinating, and pretty much everything he's been looking for in a woman—except that she lives across the country. Soon they're emailing up a storm and telling each other their deepest, darkest secrets...except the one that really matters.
When Alex pays Joe a surprise visit, however, they both discover that when it comes to love, it's always better with a twist.

Alex Parks has never taken a risk. She works from home as a graphic designer. When she decides to sign up for a online dating account, she doesn't expect to meet Eric, she just thinks its good fun. She loves their emails, and thinks he really gets her. She decides to surprise him at the birthday party he told her about, but when she gets there, Eric has no idea who she is. Turns out, he signed up looking for a Seattle hook up, but lost interest. All this time it was his brother Joe she was emailing with. Alex is hurt and pissed off. She walks to the hotel in the pouring rain, with Joe tailing her trying to explain.

Next day, Joe shows up again to apologize, but finds Alex down and out with the flu. He spends a few days taking care of her, and eventually he convinces her to remain friends. She sticks around town for awhile, to get to know Joe and in the process his friends at the Dive bar.

One dark night, Alex, Joe, and his friend are in a car accident and Joe blames himself. He pushes Alex away, not wanting her to get hurt ever again, but Alex can't seem to let go. Joe and Alex butt heads as Alex helps him remodel the upstairs apartments of the Dive bar.

These two awesome people will need to get past their issues before they can be together. And we are talking about Kylie Scott, who brings us amazing love stories. Anyways, the book was awesome, as always, and now the year long wait for the next one!

Mercy Thompson, kidnapped and cut off from her pack. Her most difficult journey yet!

Attacked and abducted in her home territory, Mercy finds herself in the clutches of the most powerful vampire in the world, taken as a weapon to use against alpha werewolf Adam and the ruler of the Tri-Cities vampires. In coyote form, Mercy escapes—only to find herself without money, without clothing, and alone in the heart of Europe...

Unable to contact Adam and the rest of the pack, Mercy has allies to find and enemies to fight, and she needs to figure out which is which. Ancient powers stir, and Mercy must be her agile best to avoid causing a war between vampires and werewolves, and between werewolves and werewolves. And in the heart of the ancient city of Prague, old ghosts rise...

On her way to the grocery store, Mercy is attacked, knocked out, and kidnapped. Adam and the pack immediately know something has happened, because they managed to cut the pack bond to Mercy. All they found at the scene was a crushed car with a ton of blood that had been hit by a semi truck.

Mercy wakes up and immediately knows that something is wrong. She can't connect with Adam. When the vampires enter the room, she finds out that they found a way to block the pack connection. They had heard she was extremely powerful and wanted to know why. Mercy knows that isn't true but because of her interactions and dealings with the fae and the vampires, it's possible she could be conceived that way. Mercy is pretty tenacious though and manages to escape. She was surprised to find herself in Italy.

She stows away as a coyote in the baggage compartment of a bus and eventually finds herself in Prague. Mercy is able to contact Stefan through her bond with him and also one of the pack through email on a stolen e-reader. She is told to find the pack leader and ask for sanctuary.

The entire book takes place in something like a couple days. It's all very, very quick. Adam gets to Prague and has to play politics with the lead vampire of Europe. Mercy plays politics with the pack leader in Prague. Mercy gets into trouble and ends up caged in the basement of a new vampire seethe with an extremely crazy vampire.

This book was so incredibly good! All of them are, of course. But this one kept me on my toes so much, following Mercy's journey and Adam's separately, not knowing how they are going to get themselves out of the mess this time. Absolutely Amazing!!

The Elders are coming.... An all new Others book by Anne Bishop coming March 2017!

******Thanks to NetGalley for an Advanced copy of this title. This is an honest review**

After a human uprising was brutally put down by the Elders—a primitive and lethal form of the Others—the few cities left under human control are far-flung. And the people within them now know to fear the no-man's-land beyond their borders—and the darkness...

As some communities struggle to rebuild, Lakeside Courtyard has emerged relatively unscathed, though Simon Wolfgard, its wolf shifter leader, and blood prophet Meg Corbyn must work with the human pack to maintain the fragile peace. But all their efforts are threatened when Lieutenant Montgomery's shady brother arrives, looking for a free ride and easy pickings.

With the humans on guard against one of their own, tensions rise, drawing the attention of the Elders, who are curious about the effect such an insignificant predator can have on a pack. But Meg knows the dangers, for she has seen in the cards how it will all end—with her standing beside a grave...

After the uprising, the Elders have decided they want to watch the humans from inside the towns. They want to know what is so significant that they should be allowed to live. They are very interested in Meg. They approach Simon and let him know they are watching. Simon and the Elders disagree on allowing a human, the brother of a police officer, to live in the courtyard. Simon knows he is trouble and wants him gone, but the Elders want to know more about him and what problems he could cause for the Others. Little do they know.....

This is the last book in the story arc of Simon and Meg. The series will continue in another part of the Others world. This kind of made me sad, but also excited about them finding each other. The Elder thing was just crazy. There is a hilarious scene between Meg and the Elders, she doesn't realize its them, that made me laugh like crazy. I had to read it a couple times.

This series has been fantastic from the beginning. I've been a fan of Bishop for several years, back to the beginning of the Black Jewels series. She never ceases to amaze me with her interesting stories and great characters.

I loved this book and cannot wait for the next story!

Gena Showalter returns us to Everlife with the second book in the series, Lifeblood

With her last living breath, Tenley "Ten" Lockwood made her choice and picked her realm in the Everlife. Now, as the war between Troika and Myriad rages, she must face the consequences.
Because Ten possesses a rare supernatural ability to absorb and share light, the Powers That Be have the highest expectations for her future—and the enemy wants her neutralized. Fighting to save her Secondlife, she must learn about her realm from the ground up while launching her first mission: convincing a select group of humans to join her side before they die. No pressure, right?
But Ten's competition is Killian, the boy she can't forget—the one who gave up everything for her happiness. He has only one shot at redemption: beating Ten at a game she's never even played. As their throw-downs heat up, so do their undeniable feelings, and soon, Ten will have to make another choice. Love…or victory.

As Ten lay dying, betrayed by Sloan, she pledges to Troika. She awakens and arrives in Troika to start her training, but as a unique Conduit, her training is definitely different than the other new arrivals'. As Troika, she is separated from Killian, and everyone is certain he doesn't have feelings for her, that he is just out to kill her now that she is in Troika, or get her to spy for him. Ten also has to compete with Killian to sign humans to Troika. Her first assignment is to help Doir, the girl Archer had loved and lost when she signed with Myriad. Doir has been infected with a Myriad disease that could spread. Ten needs to convince Doir to go to court to change her loyalties and cure her of the disease before it spreads. Killian is helping Ten throughout the book, with great risk to himself if he is discovered.

Ten meets so many people in her secondlife. Her grandmother, grandfather, great grandmother, her little brother is there, taken in by a Troika general. And Ten also suffers more loss, which only ends up making her stronger and more determined to end the war and bring peace to Troika and Myriad.

So much happens in this book, and of course it ends on a massive cliffhanger! UGH! And since I suck at writing reviews, I will leave it here. Happy Reading!

Roshani Chokshi returns with the magical Tournament of Wishes in "A Crown of Wishes"

Gauri, the princess of Bharata, has been taken as a prisoner of war by her kingdom’s enemies. Faced with a future of exile and scorn, Gauri has nothing left to lose. Hope unexpectedly comes in the form of Vikram, the cunning prince of a neighboring land and her sworn enemy kingdom. Unsatisfied with becoming a mere puppet king, Vikram offers Gauri a chance to win back her kingdom in exchange for her battle prowess. Together, they’ll have to set aside their differences and team up to win the Tournament of Wishes – a competition held in a mythical city where the Lord of Wealth promises a wish to the victor.
Reaching the tournament is just the beginning. Once they arrive, danger takes on new shapes: poisonous courtesans and mischievous story birds, a feast of fears and twisted fairy revels.
Every which way they turn new trials will test their wit and strength. But what Gauri and Vikram will soon discover is that there’s nothing more dangerous than what they most desire.

Gauri lost her sister and her kingdom. Her brother has traded her as a prisoner and she knows she is about to die. Vikram is the adopted son of the king, but he knows that the royalty are just pawns to the council, figureheads to look good. Vikram refuses to be a figurehead, and wants to be a real king, so when he recieves an invite to the Tournament of Wishes, he decides Gauri is the person to help him win. Gauri wishes to win back her kingdom as Vikram wishes to be an actual king, so they both set off to compete in the Tournmane of Wishes, which is unlike anything they have ever seen before. They travel to an unknown lands through a magical black market and eventually compete in a tournament that has the most unexpected challenges.

I throughly enjoyed the Star Touched Queen with Maya and was excited to read the story of Maya's sister Gauri, that she had to leave behind. I feel like the story played out well and ended well. A must read!
