What a short and sweet, condensed description for a very large and in charge book. When you pick it up, gosh its HUGE!  Clary and Jace know that Sebastian isn't finished, not by a long shot. But the Council doesn't seem to believe them that its going to get worse. Until Sebastian starts attacking Institutes around the world and turning the Shadowhunters into the Endarkened.. Shadowhunters who no longer have a soul. 

Jace and Clary know they have to do something, something drastic, to save the world. But do they have it in them to finish it? To kill Sebastian once and for all? They didn't think so, until Sebastian kidnaps the entire Downworlder delegation to Idris, which includes Magnus, Luke, and Clary's mother. The final straw pushed, Jace and Clary and their friends rush headlong into danger, but it doesn't matter. Its die trying or see the world end. 

OMG , So let me just say that I think Ms Clare did a fantastic job concluding this series and with the prep for the next series, The Dark Artifices. I absolutely couldn't put this book down. It was fast and furious all the way through. And it pains me not to have ANYONE to talk to about it, at least for several days! So Go Forth And READ!! QUICKLY!

Ms Miller is always good for a nice, feel  good story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the next Marriage Pact book!

For some reason I had a really hard time getting into this book. I kept picking it up and putting it down.. But when I got about halfway through it, I couldn't put it down.

Lucian talks Justin into going on this hair-brained trip to Arcadia, to extend a hand so to speak. Mae agrees to go, which kind of surprises Justin, but she has an ulterior motive. Through visions she was receiving from the amber knife, she found out her niece was being held in Arcadia. What easier way to get there than to go with the delegation. Arcadia is a very strict country. Women are subservient and men rule with harsh thumbs. Religion is forced on everyone. There was no other way into the country.

The Arcadians want to send their own delegation to RUNA to spread the word about their own religion, but Justin finds out they have a terrorist plan in the works. Can Justin save RUNA at the same time Mae is out to save her niece? 

At the same time, Tessa takes on an internship with a journalist who has secret motives of her own. They want to find out if Lucian's political group has ties to religious groups. Tessa gets invited to a youth group for the political party and starts to learn some valuable information before she finds out she has been duped  by the journalist.


This book was really good, even though I found it slow to start. I love Mae's character.  Justin isn't too shabby and I love Tessa. The major twist at the end of the book kept me up half the night! I couldn't believe it!  

I started reading Richelle Mead way back when ... lol several years ago, somewhere in the middle of the Vampire Academy series. I think Mead is an excellent author and I applaud her being able to write when she was pregnant and with a new baby and then pregnant again! It hasnt kept her down, and we readers greatly appreciate that she still puts out 2-3 books a year!

My biggest complaint about this book is, I dont like the cover. I really loved the original cover of Gameboard of the Gods because it was one that called to everyone, men  and women alike. This cover screams "romance!" to me and maybe will have less readership. 

Otherwise, thanks for a great book!

Spence is pretty ticked at his friends for taking over his life and his house. Sure, they didn't know that he had been a prisoner of war and that he wasn't dead, but that really doesn't matter. After treating Callie and Nick like crap after their wedding, he takes off for the local watering hole (the one Leif got arrested at!). Melanie is pretty concerned about him so she skips the reception and goes to find  him. After dragging his drunk behind home that night she offers him a place to stay and a temporary job until he figures out what he wants to do.
Spence has so much anger built up inside that he has no clue what he wants to do. Should he just leave town? But he has to make a decision about the house first. And Melanie keeps wrangling her way into his thoughts all the time. Whats the next step?

This book was fantastic. When I first started it I was like "Oh My God, Spence is ALIVE?!?!" and went on to read that he had been a prisoner of war. How awful for him! Broke my heart! Anyways, it was fabulous, and I loved it, and I think the next book should be about our dear Sheriff! Just my two cents! Have a great day!
