Description

Since Hadleigh, Melody and Bex—the best of best friends—entered into a marriage pact, two of them have found (and married) the men of their hearts. But Bex doesn't think she'll be as fortunate as the others. Her own first love died years ago in a faraway war, and Bex has lost hope for a happy marriage of her own. She concentrates on her business, a successful chain of fitness clubs, instead.

Then, when single father Tate Calder comes to Mustang Creek with his two sons in tow, who befriend Bex's eight-year-old nephew, she and the handsome, aloof newcomer are constantly thrown together. But is the marriage season over? Or can a man with doubts about love be the right husband for a woman who wants it all?

Tate gives up his life as a pilot and moves to Mustang Creek for a nice quiet place to raise his boys. . He was Tate's partner, so has connections already in town. But when he meets Bex, he can't stop thinking about her.  When Bex's nephew comes to live with her for awhile, he befriends Tate's boys and Bex and Tate end up spending alot of time together. Bex is stilld devistated by the loss of Will, Hadleigh's brother who was in the military and died overseas. She doesn't want to chance falling in love again.

I'm so bad at trying to do descriptions of books, Im just going to give up and give my thoughts on it. I love Miller's books. They don't require a whole lot of thought, and they are sweet love stories. If you haven't yet read her, get to reading. They are a great sit down and don't think read!

Sarah Maas rewrites Beauty and the Beast with "A Court of Thorns and Roses"

******Thank You NetGalley for an Advanced Copy of this title******

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin-one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow over the faerie lands is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin-and his world-forever.

Feyre's father has pretty much checked out and she is responsible for her two older sisters. She hunts and cooks and cleans to keep her sisters happy. She has a relationship with a young farmer that she keeps hidden from her family. In pursuit of a deer, Feyre comes across a wolf. Her choices are let the wolf have the deer and her family starves, or take out the wolf. She decides to take out the wolf.

Not her wisest decision. She takes the pelt to town and sells it to a mercenary. Later, her door comes crashing in.. Its a Fae. The wolf she killed was a fae. Her options are either to die, or go to the Fae lands and live out the rest of her life in servitude.

Tamlin burns hot and cold. Sometimes he is nice and sometimes he doesn't want anything to do with her. His home fascinates her, but she wonders about her family and their welfare. But a curse is spreading across the fae lands that Tamlin barely is able to contain. Feyre will do anything to keep Tamlin and the fae she has befriended safe.

Sarah Maas never fails to disappoint.  When I first heard about this book coming out, I was really angry. I adore the Throne of Glass series and I am dying waiting for the next one.. How dare she start another series!? Outraged, I was I tell ya. However, the book was so stinking good that now I can deal with it, lol!! Its like a beauty and the beast retelling. Fractured fairy tales are huge right now. This book was totally worth the read. Now, just 7 months til Queen of Shadows!
