Patricia Briggs' new Mercy Thompson book "Night Broken"

First off, let me say... Fabulous! As always..

Description:
An unexpected phone call heralds a new challenge for Mercy. Her mate Adam’s ex-wife is in trouble, on the run from her new boyfriend. Adam isn’t the kind of man to turn away a person in need—and Mercy knows it. But with Christy holed up in Adam’s house, Mercy can’t shake the feeling that something about the situation isn’t right.

Soon, her suspicions are confirmed when she learns that Christy has the farthest thing from good intentions. She wants Adam back and she’s willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen, including turning Adam’s pack against Mercy.

Mercy isn’t about to step down without a fight, but there’s a more dangerous threat circling. Christy’s ex is more than a bad man—in fact, he may not be human at all. As the bodies start piling up, Mercy must put her personal troubles aside to face a creature with the power to tear her whole world apart.

Adam's ex-wife has gained the attentions of a dangerous stalker.  Christy calls Adam in hysterics because she has acquired a stalker who may have killed another man that she briefly dated. Adam allows Christy to come stay with them until her stalker is found.  However, Christy somehow manages to take over the house and make Mercy very uncomfortable. It doesn't help that a few female pack members still consider Christy a friend and think Mercy is petty and jealous.
To top it off, there is a fae knocking at her door wanting the walking stick back. Which she doesn't have. She gave it to Coyote, feeling she didn't have any other choice. So now she has to find Coyote and get it back.
Then Mercy is attacked by Christy's stalker she realized that he is very much NOT a human. And he is alot more dangerous than originally thought, because no one knows what he is much less how to defeat him.

Okay, yeah, loved it! Seriously, Ms Briggs has never gone wrong and she still keeps 'em coming and they are awesome! I really liked Mercy in this one. She is a strong female, but she also doesn't want to hurt Christy's feelings, even though Christy appears to be moving in on Adam. She also tries to befriend Honey, who's husband Peter died in an earlier book. Mercy also not only finds Coyote, but she also finds a "brother", another child of Coyote who is a shifter, unfortunately Coyote took too much interest in poor Gary and spends alot of time in prison. So, anyways, great book! Now, *sigh* a whole year til the next one! :(
